Curious about BLC? Teens ages 12–19 can join one semester-long class, meet our community, and experience our flexible, relationship-centered approach to learning. Choose one of the two classes below for the fall semester. Each is taught by BLC staff member Eileen and costs $150.

Salem Witches and More

Mondays at 11:00 AM
September 14, 2026–January 11, 2027
No class Sept. 21, Oct. 5, Oct. 12, Dec. 28, or Jan. 4.

What really happened in Salem—and why? Students will investigate the witch trials through stories, historical context, and primary sources, separating popular myths from the complicated realities. Along the way, we’ll explore how fear, power, belief, and community can shape history.

The Night Sky

Thursdays at 11:00 AM
September 17, 2026–January 14, 2027
No class Nov. 26, Dec. 24, or Dec. 31.

Look up and learn how to read the night sky. We’ll explore constellations, the motion of Earth and Moon, planets, and deep-space objects using star charts, astronomy apps, and opportunities for real-world observation. No prior astronomy experience is needed—just curiosity.

Registration and Payment

Choose one class only. The semester fee is $150 and is due before classes begin.
