At BLC, we offer an exciting dual enrollment opportunity in partnership with Bucks County Community College. Through this agreement, BLC members can take college courses at a significantly reduced tuition rate, starting as early as ninth grade. Here's everything you need to know about dual enrollment and how it can benefit a teen.
What is Dual Enrollment?
Dual enrollment allows high school students, including those registered as homeschoolers, to take college courses and earn both high school and college credits simultaneously. This program provides flexibility, a head start on higher education, and the chance to explore interests at a college level.
Through our special agreement with Bucks County Community College, BLC members can access discounted tuition, waived fees, and support services. This makes it an affordable and practical way to begin earning college credits while still in high school. Additionally, Bucks Community College offers a variety of courses that fulfill both high school graduation requirements and college-level general education.
Key Benefits:
- Reduced Tuition: $260 for three-credit courses and $390 for four-credit courses (compared to $696 and $928 respectively for regular tuition and fees).
- Waived Fees: No additional college service, activity, or technology fees.
- Flexible Eligibility: Start as early as 9th grade.
- Wide Course Selection: Take classes that meet your academic goals and interests.
